Nature Talk & Walk Go Native: Natives for Your Landscape (Phil Hardbarger)

This event is being organized by the Phil hardbarger Conservancy , and as being announced by this group because these events are always great ! This month's nature walk is for anyone ready to go native in their own landscape. even if there's only a few RSVPs in this beat up there is always a good group in person at these events, don't be shy about attending!

Joan Miller is a former president of the Native Plant Society of Texas, San Antonio chapter. Drake White is the founder of San Antonio's first all-native plant nursery. Both are active plant propagators, native plant identifiers, and teachers. Between them, they can tell you not just what a plant is, but where to put it, how much water it needs, when and how to cut it back, and what it will attract.

On June 27, they will lead a walk starting at the Urban Ecology Center and through the Native Plant Wildscape Demonstration Garden, pointing out plants in the Park along the way. The focus is Texas natives you can incorporate into your own landscape, including drought-tolerant plants that thrive in this climate.

Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, a hat, and sunscreen. please arrive by 7:50 a.m.
