Join the Friends of McAllister Park and assist with Johnson grass removal.
Johnson grass is considered one of the 10 most persistent weeds in the world and we've got it in McAllister Park! Help us keep McAllister Park beautiful by slowing the spread of this terrible weed.
We will hand trim seed heads, and if the soil is moist, we will hand pull or shovel out the underground rhizomes (tuberous roots).
Please bring your own gloves, closed toe shoes, and be prepared to work and sweat a little. Water bottle Recommended.
