REQUIREMENTS:

• You must have a MultiGP account and join the S3 Chapter hosting the race.
• You will be assigned a frequency (one of IMD6C) when you check in on the MultiGP website.
• Please check in 24-48 hours in advance, and set up equipment before you arrive.
• AMA Membership is required to fly.
• VTX Power: 25mW

This is a private course. Respect the owner’s rules, please stay within property boundaries.

Agenda:

• 10:00-10:30 Pilot Check-in
• 10:45 Pilot Briefing/Frequency & Spotter assignment/Walk the course
• 11:00 Qualifying Heats
• 1:00-1:30 Lunch break (pizza!)
• 3:00 ? Finals

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Try to maintain social distancing! Plenty of room to set up a 10x10 canopy in pit area.

SAFETY THIRD:

• Safety First.
• Also, Safety Second.

NO FLY ZONE:

• The No Fly Zone is "IN, ABOVE AND BEHIND" the line formed by the pilot pit area
• The No Fly Zone includes areas 30ft away from the race course, or outside the property.

FLY ZONE:

• All pilots and spectators should stay out of the fly zone.
• Power up at the starting line, not in the pits.
• Land only in the designated area (IN FLY ZONE, typically near starting line)

RACE RULES & REGULATIONS

• Pilots must fly through all gates and around all flags at the flag’s height or less, in the established racing line direction.
• Missed gates and flags must be attempted again before going through the next obstacle.
• Uncorrected gate misses and flag cuts will be scored as DNF
• Flying in the No Fly Zone will be scored as DNF
• Early start: Lose 1 lap

QUALIFYING

• Qualifying heats are 2 minutes long. Your qualifying position is determined by best "Top 3 Consecutive" lap times recorded by timing system
• We plan on having 5 qualifying rounds
• At the end of 2 minutes, complete the lap you are on and land immediately
• We will have divided Pro & Sport class finals. Cut-off to be determined by qualifying results.
• A win at an S3 sport class event, or 3 podiums will move you to Pro class.
• Prizes for top 3 sport, top 3 pro.

FINALS

• Top 8 scoring pilots will move to Final Races
• Finals are double elimination bracket race. Last 4 will compete in "Chase the ace" (must win twice)

COMMUNCIATION:

IF YOU CRASH or need to enter the field:

• Wait until races are over, the Event Captain will announce when it is safe to enter.
• FIRE: If after a crash, your drone is smoking/burning, call out “I’M ON FIRE” and all flying craft should LAND & DISARM IMMEDIATELY so the situation can be dealt with. Heat will be Re-run with pilots who are airborne at fire time

CRASH & TRASH:

• Take out what you brought in!
