June Sunday Assembly + potluck

The June 2025 Assembly is Sunday, 6/15 at 11:00am. We will be meeting in-person at the Pride Center at 3850 NW 83rd Street, Suite 201. The ground floor of the building is a dialysis center; we're on the 2nd floor; stairway on the left side, elevator on the right.

Our guest speaker is technologist Jim Lilkendey. He has been a lifelong student of technology - first as an enthusiast, then as an academic and practitioner, and now a hobbyist. His interest in artificial intelligence (AI) began in the early 1990s; he stays current with developments and explores their practical applications and societal implications. He will present:

We host a potluck lunch following the Assembly! There is a refrigerator if you bring something that needs to be kept cold. And there is a microwave for heating your yummy up. Please write a note saying what your offering is and if it includes gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, etc. and if it is vegetarian or vegan.

As usual, in addition to our terrific guest speaker we will have songs performed by our in-house band Some Assembly Required, a poem or short reading, and an opportunity to share personal & community announcements.

Sunday Assembly is a non-sectarian humanist group. All are welcome regardless of religious belief or lack thereof. Our Assembly is not about any god; it's about celebrating life and being the best we can be. The Assembly is free to attend; we "pass the hat" for donations.

We ask that you only attend in-person if you are not experiencing any symptoms of Covid or any other potentially contagious disease. We love sharing, but that's going too far! We will stream this Assembly at this link:
