September Sunday Assembly + potluck

The September Assembly is coming up on Sunday 9/13 at 11:00am. We will be meeting in-person at the NEW Pride Center at 1204 NW 10th Ave in Gainesville.
Our guest speaker is Shanti Vani; her presentation is on The Emergence of End-of-Life Doulas in Today’s World.
Shanti Vani is a Gainesville based end-of-life doula specializing in grief support. Her mission is to increase awareness of doula-supported, non-medical care, advocacy, and compassionate support for people at the end of life and their caregivers.
We host a potluck lunch following the Assembly! There is a refrigerator if you bring something that needs to be kept cold. And there is a microwave for heating your yummy up. Please write a note saying what your offering is and if it includes gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, etc. and if it is vegetarian or vegan.
As usual, in addition to our terrific guest speaker we will have songs performed by our in-house band, a poem or short reading, and an opportunity to share personal & community announcements.
Sunday Assembly is a tax-exempt non-sectarian humanist group. All are welcome regardless of religious belief or lack thereof. Our Assembly is not about any god; it's about celebrating life and being the best we can be. The Assembly is free to attend; we "pass the hat" for donations.
We ask that you only attend in-person if you are not experiencing any symptoms of Covid or any other potentially contagious disease. We love sharing, but that's going too far! We will stream this Assembly at this link:

The October Brunch (1st Saturday) will be Saturday, Oct 3 at 10:30 at the Northwest Grill on 39th Avenue.
The October Assembly (3rd Sunday) is Oct 18 at 11am at the new Pride Cener.
