The October Assembly is coming up on Sunday 10/18 at 11:00am. We will be meeting in-person at the NEW Pride Center at 1204 NW 10th Ave in Gainesville.

Our guest speaker is Donna Waller speaking about “Killing the Small Municipalities: The Amendments of 2026”.

We welcome Donna back! She is the current president of the League of Women Voters and speaks to many groups on topics of American history, civics, and politics. She has previously educated Sunday Assemblers on local government and elections.

We host a potluck lunch following the Assembly! There is a refrigerator if you bring something that needs to be kept cold. And there is a microwave for heating your yummy up. Please write a note saying what your offering is and if it includes gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, etc. and if it is vegetarian or vegan.

As usual, in addition to our terrific guest speaker we will have songs performed by our in-house band, a poem or short reading, and an opportunity to share personal & community announcements.

Sunday Assembly is a tax-exempt non-sectarian humanist group. All are welcome regardless of religious belief or lack thereof. Our Assembly is not about any god; it's about celebrating life and being the best we can be. The Assembly is free to attend; we "pass the hat" for donations.

We ask that you only attend in-person if you are not experiencing any symptoms of Covid or any other potentially contagious disease. We love sharing, but that's going too far! We will stream this Assembly at this link:
