## Manuscript Circle

Sahab Collective
Hosted by Sahab Academy
Online
Adults only
Free-to-attend | Pay-what-you-can

This edition of Manuscript Circle is designed for adult writers who want to become sharper, more intentional editors—of their own work and others’. Whether you’re writing fiction, memoir, or something in between, this session offers a focused space to workshop up to 2,000 words of your manuscript and receive grounded, craft-based feedback.

Bring a section of your writing—new or revised—that you most want to develop. Together, we’ll practise close reading, learn to identify patterns, and reflect on the choices that make writing effective.

The session begins with a short guide on how to give and receive feedback, led by a member of the Sahab team. We’ll then move into small group workshopping where writers can hear their work as others do and respond to fellow writers’ pieces with care and clarity.

Why workshop in community?– To understand how your work resonates with readers– To refine narrative clarity, tone, pacing, and voice– To practise giving feedback that supports growth– To become a more disciplined, reflective writer

What to prepare:
– A manuscript excerpt (up to 2,000 words) in PDF or Word format
– Something to write with and write on
– Openness to listen, share, and engage with others' work

Additional Information:
– This is a free-to-attend session, with a pay-what-you-can option to support future programming
– The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants on the morning of the event
– Cameras are encouraged but not required

Whether you're seeking clarity, direction, or a deeper understanding of your writing voice, this session will support you in refining your craft and building creative momentum.

We look forward to reading with you.
