Monthly food hampers distribution for seniors and people with disability

Distribution is expected to start around 3 pm as soon as the truck from the foodbank arrives. A brief overview of the foodbank and the services offered will be provided at 2.30 pm. Please arrive in time.

How can you help?
We are looking for volunteers to help arrange the hampers and distribute to the program participants. Every month on the 1st Sunday, we distribute close to 100 pre-registered seniors living in the Jamestown neighborhood.

Each hamper contains nonperishables supplies for the month like rice, pasta, sugar, salt, flour etc., and a bag of perishables containing vegetables, fruits, bread and dairy.

Each volunteer will be assigned a responsibility for the food distribution.

Distribution takes approx. 2 to 3 hours.

This is an outdoor event, please dress per weather conditions. We have an office where you can rest before the start of the event or if you feel cold during the distribution.
