Yacht Race Management - Training Day

Details
Learn what goes on behind the scenes in a yacht race? There is a surprising amount of organisation and administration to get a yacht race going. It is just as vital as the racing itself...which is why the yachties always thank the race team profusely after the conclusion of the race - because they know - without a race management team - there can be no race!!
If you have a good eye for detail, like being part of a team - then this is for you. You will sit in a room which is elevated (you need to be able to climb up a ladder) and have a full 180 degree view of the beautiful Swan River.
You will conduct the race (which is a 5-minute countdown) and signal to the yachts via hoisting and lowering flags. Once the race is underway, you supervise proceedings and keep an active ear on the radio and telephone in case somebody needs assistance - and you dispatch a safety boat to help them.
Come to the door next to the grassed area and ask for Robert and we will sort you out. If you have a pair of binoculars - bring them, and a drink bottle and hat.
