Indian Summer Daysail to Historic Village of Marken

Hello Sailors,

As the weather is great again for water sports, we are organizing a Sunny Day Sail this Sunday on the Markermeer from Volendam with a one hour stop in Marken.

You can check out the photo gallery or the video below of previous sailing daytrips to have an idea what to expect. No previous sailing experience is required.

We will visit the historic village of Marken and we will have lunch there.

It is a special experience to enter the village by water like the fishermen did for centuries and it looks like time has stopped there.

Thereafter we'll sail to the famous lighthouse of the Paard van Marken enjoying the close proximity to water and the beautiful view of the horizon. Then we will head back to Volendam and upon arrival, we’ll have a toast together (ankerbier).

Volendam is easily accessible by public transport from A'dam CS.
We will meet at 11 am on the terrace of the Restaurant Paviljoen Smit-Bokkum facing the marina 2 min walking from the bus stop Marinapark or the long-term parking behind the (new) Marinapark.
Make sure that you prepare your travel arrangements a day before so you are at the right place in the right time, latest 11am.

It will be fun!
