Sailing Adventure through the Saronic Gulf Islands
Details
Greece always delivers—every time.
It’s become a staple destination for Joyride Charters, and this trip is consistently our most popular. We sail at the start of high season when the islands are lively but not overcrowded, the waters are warm, and the energy is incredible.
This is not your average sailing week.
Many tours are already included in the price—your winery visit, bee farm experience, olive oil history tour, plus transportation and little Greek goodies to bring home.
### ⚓ Perfect for Solo Travelers, Couples, and Over-50 Adventurers
Whether you're coming solo, with a friend, as a couple, or looking for your next “new chapter” adventure—you’ll fit right in.
- Solo travelers are matched same-sex in cabins (or upgrade to a private cabin).
- Couples get the privacy and romance of their own en-suite cabin.
- Travelers 50+ love the stability and comfort of the catamaran, cultural depth and the built-in friendship of small-group travel.
### ⚓ What Makes the Saronic Gulf So Special
Sailing out of Alimos Marina in Athens is the perfect gateway to the Saronic Islands:
- Aegina for pistachios, temples, and seaside cafés
- Spetses with its elegant old harbor and horse-drawn carriages
- Hydra, the island with no cars—only magic
- Poros, lined with boats, bakeries, and bougainvillea
- Epidaurus, home to the ancient theater and lush views of the Peloponnese
You can explore on foot, rent an e-bike or 4-wheeler (optional), or wander the shops, markets, and waterfront promenades.
### ⚓ Life Aboard
We sail on large, spacious catamarans—super comfortable, stable, and airy.
Every cabin is a private double with its own bathroom, USB and 110 outlets
Each boat has a captain and a hostess/host, and breakfasts and lunches are freshly prepared onboard.
Dinners are ashore so we can savor the world-class Greek cuisine and sit cliffside for sunset.
### ⚓ A Trip for Every Kind of Traveler
You don’t need any experience—just curiosity and a sense of adventure.
You can relax with a book in the shade, float in crystal-clear coves, or hone your sailing skills if you want to learn more.
Guests form life-long friendships on these trips—it’s part of the magic of small-group sailing.
