Guadeloupe - The French Caribbean
Details
Guadeloupe is not your typical Caribbean destination. It’s a French Caribbean archipelago where European elegance meets lush, tropical beauty. Shaped like a butterfly, the islands offer dramatic rainforest-covered mountains on one side and sun-drenched beaches on the other — all surrounded by warm, clear water.
Sailing here feels exotic and comfortably familiar at the same time. You’ll find French bakeries in the morning, vibrant Creole markets by day, and elegant French-Caribbean dinners by night. It’s authentic, layered, and refreshingly unpolished.
Why Guadeloupe?
This far south in the Leeward Islands, life moves differently. Slower. More grounded. Less rushed and less commercial than many Caribbean destinations. Guests often say they feel a shift — fewer crowds, deeper culture, richer experiences, and the true rhythm of island life.
Nature is the real star here. Towering rainforests, waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, marine reserves, coral reefs, and protected anchorages make it one of the most diverse sailing grounds in the Caribbean.
And we experience it properly — by sea.
What Makes This Charter Different
This is not a marina-hopping trip. We will enjoy longer, unrushed sailing days and spend most nights anchored or on moorings in calm, protected bays.
Anchoring means:
• Swimming right off the boat
• Peaceful evenings under the stars
• Quiet mornings with coffee on deck
• Avoiding crowded harbors and marina noise
When marinas make sense, we use them. Otherwise, we live the true sailing rhythm.
No sailing experience is required. You can relax completely or participate as much as you’d like.

Meet Captain Joy
Captain Joy has logged thousands of miles at sea and has been leading sailing adventures around the world for years — but she still gets excited every time the sails go up.
She’s a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain with serious experience… and a not-so-serious love of sunset anchorages, fresh baguettes, and finding the perfect swim spot. Guests often say they feel completely at ease onboard — like they’re traveling with a capable friend who just happens to know exactly what she’s doing.
If you’ve never sailed before, you’ll feel supported. If you have, you’ll appreciate the quiet confidence at the helm. Either way, you’re in very good hands.
