What we’re about
The Salt Run Flyers are a dragon boat team associated with the St. Augustine Yacht Club. We have been together for about 10 years. Dragon boating is a sport that offers fitness, teamwork and a great way to meet new people. Dragon boating is one of the fastest growing water sports in America. It's a paddle sport. Our boat team is comprised of a ten person paddling crew, a drummer and a steer. We practice two times per week; Tuesday morning and Thursday morning. We are located at the SAYC so we paddle on the Salt Run in St. Augustine.
Over the years we have competed in many festivals and have won numerous metals.
We offer a free trial of 3 practices before any financial commitment. We supply certified coaches, boats, life jackets and paddles. You supply a positive attitude and a willingness to be a team member.
To join the Salt Run Flyers after the trial period you must attend practices regularly and become an Associate Member of the St. Augustine Yacht Club.
