Let's Track Some Dinosaur Tracks!

Since a number of you are outdoorsy types, I thought I would try to organize a half day trip to see some actual dinosaur tracks and an old Mormon/army fort that are close together in Warner Valley.

The tracks are really interesting, a little out of the way down a short dirt road, as is the fort. The tracks involve a short hike of about 1/4 mile to the beginning of them, although you can hike on down the wash about a half mile to the public lands boundary. There are information kiosks at both places. Bring water, sunglasses, binoculars if you wish, and a camera/phone. I expect we will want to carpool. We can arrange that when the event gets closer and we know how many people are going, etc.

I will arrange for a table afterwards at Positano Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, a brand-new excellent restaurant in the more southern part of St. George, off River Road. This will be listed as a separate event so folks can choose to do either/or (or both).
