Let's talk about some real stuff!

I started this group as a social and discussion group. I love both, but we haven't yet had a chance to do any deep dives into specific topics. I would like to devote November's meetup to that.

Here's a list of some possible topics. Please review these and decide which one(s) you'd like to discuss:

1. How do you feel about today's economy? Is it going well, poorly? In what ways specifically? Do you feel confident about your future, or are you worried about job prospects, inflation, etc.

2. A hot topic today is how much power parents should be given in making decisions about their children's education, most specifically the content of it. How do you feel about this topic? Are parents qualified to influence curriculum? Are public schools going too far in "indoctrinating " kids in a certain direction?

3. Are men and women really "just made differently"? Do they each have certain tendencies in personality or problem solving or communication methods? Do they have, in general, fundamentally different ideas about relationships? Or is all the talk just making a mountain out of a molehill?

Please rate these topics in terms your preference when you sign up to attend. As always, I will plan to have the meetup if I get at least six attendees. The maximum is twelve. The place will be decided as we get closer, and I welcome suggestions for locale.
