Generative AI on AWS

Hello Saint Louis AWS Community,

It's been far too long, but we're excited to re:Boot the AWS STL Meetup! This is hopefully the first of many events we'll be hosting, and although this one will be virtual, we look forward to meeting with everyone in-person soon.

Given the excitement around all things Generative AI, we thought it would be impactful to share some detail on what AWS is doing in the space. Mark Oates, AWS Principal Solutions Architect, will kick us off with an overview of Amazon Bedrock, which helps customers build generative AI applications through an API. Darren Roback, AWS Senior Solutions Architect, will follow this with an overview of Amazon CodeWhisperer, which is an AI coding companion that generates full function code suggestions directly in your IDE. We'll close out the event a hands-on demonstration of Amazon CodeWhisperer, followed by Q&A.
