What we’re about
We dance socially several times a month - both contra dance and English Country Dance. All our dances are social and easily learned. No partner, memorization, or fancy footwork needed. A caller walks you through the dance. If you can walk, you can dance, and everyone is warm and welcoming.
Both Contra dance and English Country Dance are fun, easy-to-learn social dances that involve moving in lines with a partner. Contra is a traditional American dance that originated in England and France. English Country Dance originated in England at least as far back as the 1600s (think Jane Austen).
