Start your Saturday in the woods with a guided Forest Bathing + Nature Therapy experience created especially for families.

This isn’t a hike and there’s no destination to reach. Certified Forest & Nature Therapy Guide Jess Thenhaus of Urban Forest Therapy will lead kids and adults through simple sensory invitations designed to help you slow down, notice more, explore the natural world, and spend intentional time together outside.

Research on time in nature points to benefits for both children and adults, including support for attention, mood, stress reduction, physical activity, and overall well-being. This experience gives families a chance to explore those benefits together, with enough structure to make the morning feel intentional while still leaving room for curiosity and individual experience.

For kids, the morning offers space for sensory exploration, focused attention, curiosity, and a different way of engaging with the outdoors.

For adults, it’s an opportunity to slow down too and actually participate alongside your child rather than planning or leading the outing yourself.

### What to expect

🌲 Guided Forest Bathing + Nature Therapy
🌿 Sensory invitations for kids and adults
🤍 Time for family connection and community
✨ A slower, more intentional way to experience nature together

PLEASE NOTE: This is a family experience, not a drop-off program or babysitting/childcare service. A parent or responsible caregiver must remain with and supervise their child throughout the entire event. A signed participant waiver is required for every participant, including children.

We are rain or shine unless there is lightning, severe weather, or unsafe conditions. If the event needs to be postponed, our rain date is Saturday, November 14.

Exact meeting details and what-to-bring information will be emailed to registered families before the event.
