Saint Louis Indie Rock Meetup Group

Hopefully, the weather will have cooled down a bit by the time this rolls around!

The idea is to get together for a picnic in the park and enjoy some good music. For the first hour, we'll just be listening to a recent album from this year as we give everyone time to arrive. Starting ~1pm, we'll take turns connecting to the bluetooth speaker and playing 2-3 songs that we want to share with the group. It can be new music, old music, any genre, but hopefully something that excites you. So make a short playlist, bring a snack (optional), and come chill in the park. This event is weather-dependent so keep an eye on the comments section for updates!

OK, this will be our final event at Venice Cafe for the year so hopefully we didn't use up all of our good weather luck at the last one!

Let's face it, it's tough to have a conversation during a concert so the goal is to have an opportunity to socialize with other members of the group. Come hang out, grab a drink, and chat about concerts, music, and the meaning of life. If you're new to the group, this is a great one to come to. Cheers!

I'm finally getting the chance to check out the annual Porchfest that takes place in the Skinker DeBaliviere neighborhood! It's a free event where a bunch of local musicians play sets in front of peoples' houses throughout the afternoon. I won't be there for the entire event, but I would like to walk around and catch 3-4 acts. I'm gonna try to take in a variety of genres, but I'm still waiting for the official set schedule to be released so keep an eye on the event page for updates on details. I'm also free to grab a beer afterwards if anyone's interested!
