We could all use more David Bowie in our life so we're gonna check out the 2022 documentary, Moonage Daydream. I get the impression it's not a straightforward A to B biography, but rather an experimental feast for the senses. No matter what, we know the music will be good! I'll be hanging out in the lobby before the 6:15pm showing.

Four more years! A tradition like no other, this'll be our 4th annual end of year get-together. Hannah and I are hosting a dinner party at our house in University City (near Olive and Sutter), and we'll be listening to the best music of the 2025. Even though I thought 2024 was one of the strongest years in recent memory for rock music, 2025 still had plenty of great stuff. And I know that there is still so much out there that isn't even on my radar so please send me your favorite tracks of the year. I'll be compiling a collective playlist that we'll enjoy as the party rages on throughout the night!

Feel free to arrive as early as 5pm. We'll spend the first hour making drinks and giving folks time to arrive. At 6pm, I'll put the playlist on, and the pizzas should start coming out around that time. Everything on the menu is vegetarian-friendly, and everything except for the pizza is gluten-free. If you have additional dietary restrictions, please let me know, and I can do my best to accommodate. If you're able to bring a snack/appetizer/dessert to share, that is definitely appreciated. In addition to the cocktail of the night, I have a decent selection of standard drinks (beer, wine, margarita, mojito, etc.), but feel free to bring anything else that you are interested in drinking.

We are opening up our home and cooking everything from scratch so I ask that you please be considerate with your RSVP. Only mark 'Yes' if you are fairly confident that you are able to make it. Thanks!

I always appreciate when music can strongly capture a time and place, and listening to Wednesday's music makes me feel like I grew up in small-town Appalachia. So if you're a fan of Americana/alt-country, check out their newest album, Bleeds, which I'm already seeing on plenty of year-end lists. Although guitarist MJ Lenderman's star has risen considerably since their last album, this is firmly the brainchild of frontwoman, Karly Hartzman. Come join me!

It's actually been a while since I've been to a straight-up PUNK show so I'm happy that UK firebrands, Lambrini Girls, are coming to town. With song titles like "Cuntology 101" and "Filthy Rich Nepo Baby", subtlety ain't really their style, but who's got time for subtlety when the world's on fire. Come on out!
