What a difference a year makes! MJ Lenderman was playing Off Broadway when he rolled through town last October, but he's taking a major step up to The Factory this time around. I guess that's what happens when you release one of the most acclaimed albums of 2024 (plus a prominent guest spot on that Waxahatchee record). Musically, he's mining a familiar vein of country-tinged indie rock, but lyrically, he's definitely got a distinct style (the infamous "Himbo Dome" line might be the most discussed lyric of the year).
