This is not a drill! Although Hurray for the Riff Raff were just in St. Louis opening for Bright Eyes, I'm so glad that they're coming back this summer for a headlining show. I've been championing this band for the past few years, and I've talked a lot of peoples' ears off about how "The Past is Still Alive" was the best album of 2024. Alynda Segarra's lyrics are rooted in activism and resistance, but the lens is still deeply personal. As far as I'm concerned, they are one of the top American songwriters at the moment.
