For the past 15+ years, Kevin Morby has released a steady output of indie folk albums, but I didn't give him an earnest listen until 2022's excellent This is a Photograph. I didn't know what I was missing! The backstory is compelling; songwriter holes up in the Peabody Hotel during COVID and writes an album of songs steeped in Memphis lore. Now, he'll be touring his new album that comes out in May, and I'm very excited to check him out for the first time.
