💡 Speaker One: Dave Klein
Talk: Introduction to Apache Kafka® with Python
Abstract:
Most people think of Java when talking about Kafka, but we can build powerful Kafka clients in many languages, including Python.
In this session, we'll get a brief intro to Apache Kafka concepts and then we'll learn how to build Kafka producers and consumers with Python.

💡 Speaker Two: Mitch Henderson
Talk: Connecting the Streams
Abstract:
Apache Kafka Connect is an extremely powerful frame work that allows you to source data from various systems and sink the data into others. With a rich ecosystem of connectors and plugins Connect allows for an extremely flexible, easy to deploy data pipeline. The challenge is getting started, understanding where it works well, and what the limits are. In this talk we'll go over the getting started with Kafka Connect, and what boundaries you should put in place.
