What we’re about
Would you would like to go to classical and orchestral performances with others like you? You have found the right Meetup group.
Join us to attend concerts with a variety of orchestras, chamber music groups, vocal ensembles, university music programs, opera and more. (Did you know that in addition to our world class St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, there are 14 other orchestras performing regularly in the area?). Many of the concerts we attend are free to attend. And we often have a social gathering as part of our Meetup events. Whether you are new to classical music or a trained musician, you will be comfortable and enjoy our group.
Membership in the Symphony Meetup of St. Louis costs $5 per year, after a 60 day free trial, to offset the costs of the Meetup. We typically organize 25 to 35 events per year for members to choose from to participate. You can review past events and future schedules here on our Meetup pages. Join us for a musical adventure.

In collaboration with the Saint Louis Art Museum, this narrated multimedia concert from the Chamber Project of St. Louis explores the relationships between American music and the Exhibition “In Search of America: Photography and the Road Trip” at the museum.
Hitting the road from the open deserts of New Mexico to the gentle mountains of Appalachia, to the bustling cities bursting with frenetic energy, the Chamber Project musicians will explore the sounds of the American landscape with music from Aaron Copland, Ned Rorem, Rhiannon Giddens, Duke Ellington and a world premiere by St. Louis composer TJ Abernathy.

Brian Woods, piano - Benedetta Orsi's musical journey - Memories in MotionThe Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries, St. Louis, MO
Benedetta Orsi, and her husband, Conductor/Composer Darwin Aquino, invite our Symphony Meetup to join in the celebration of Benedetta's 15 year anniversary as a noted mezzo soprano (and 25 years since her Broadway debut).
This celebration performance will be at the acoustically acclaimed Sheldon Concert Hall. Storytelling of Benedetta's career will be narrated by our friend from radio station Classic 107.3, Kathy Lawton Brown. And it's sure to include some fun anecdotes (e.g Benedetta's musical debut was in community theater in Bologna, Italy in a show where she was transformed into a chicken. Hmmm.)
Benedetta will be joined in performance by Opera Theatre of Saint Louis soprano Meroe Khalia Adeeb, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra violinist Eva Kozma, and Steinway & Sons pianist Alla Voskoboynikova.
Benedetta has invited our group backstage after the performance to join her, Kathy Lawton Brown, and the other musicians. She also would like to gift each of our group with a copy of her latest album, INcanto, recorded in collaboration with the Arianna String Quartet and Alla Voskoboynikova.
Benedetta has also invited our group to use the reduced Student pricing for tickets ($20, instead of $30). https://www.metrotix.com/events/detail/benedetta-orsi-2025
Benedetta Orsi's story from Italy to St. Louis and around the world, is an interesting one. Her involvement in our community is eye opening. You can see her biography at https://benedettaorsi.com/biography/. This should be an interesting and fun evening.
Parking nearby should be plentiful as the Fox Theater is dark the evening of this celebration. We should be able to grab a bite to eat in the Grand Center area before this event if you are interested. Let me know in your RSVP.
