Details
Hello Symphony Friends!!
Come join me for the Music of “Love” with popular classics from Opera, Dance, Symphonic and Jazz standards. Join Conductor Ed Jacobs, soloist Matt Kuebler and the Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis for live music on Saturday, August 30 at 6:00 PM in the Quad at John Burroughs School in Ladue.
Let MOSL take you on a musical journey of love, including Elgar's "Salut d'Amour," Dvořák's haunting second “Slavonic Dance,” selections from Bizet's “Carmen”, and Duke Ellington. Tuba soloist Matt Kuebler is featured on these concerts. An incredible musician, Matt will play Monti's virtuoso showpiece ‘Czardas,' as well as the famous Serenade from Romberg's operetta 'The Student’.
Relax and Enjoy: This is your chance to hear a beautiful selection of music at the beautiful JB campus. Built in 1923, and named for U.S. Naturalist, John Burroughs. I will be sending a map of the campus in a follow-up email.
**Bring a Lawn Chair-**I will be in the Quad at 5:00 p.m. to secure space. The Atmosphere and Music will make this a truly memorable evening.
