WashU Full Symphony Orchestra: Symphonic Adventures I
Details
UPDATE: For those planning to attend dinner before the concert, our reservation at Blueberry Hill is at 5:00pm. Please note this earlier time to allow for our group to socialize and the restaurant to turn us around ahead of the 7:00 concert. Please be sure you have answered the dinner question with your RSVP.
Go on a Symphonic Adventure with conductor-in-residence Darwin Aquino and the full WashU Symphony Orchestra! These adventures will take you to Mexico, England, Shakespeare's Italy, and will end in Spain.
This concert features an evocative STL premiere by Mexican composer Gabriela Ortiz, the St. Louis Symphony's Chance Huiet performing the warm and beautiful tuba concerto by Ralph Vaughan Williams, the romantic Fantasy Overture on Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky, and ends with the splashy and delightful España, Rhapsody for Orchestra by Emmanuel Chabrier.
This performance is at the beautiful 560 Music Center. The orchestra will reserve seating gor our group. The concert is free and no tickets are required. There is free parking parking available in the adjacent garage.
