Maestro Darwin Aquino leads the full Washington University Symphony Orchestra in this free and ambitious Sunday afternoon program at the beautiful 560 Music Center.

The University will reserve seats for our group to sit together. Please arrive early to find the group and socialize. Doors to the auditorium will open about 2:30. No tickets are required.

The music program is as compelling as it is diverse in music background and styles. Should be very interesting to witness.

  • Dance of the Yao People - Liu Tieshan / Mao Yuan
  • Flute Concerto in G Major by Mozart, 1st movement, Jimin Lee, flute (Winner of the Friends of Music Concerto & Aria Competition)
  • Sholem Aleichem’s Clock (STL premiere) by Andrew List
  • Suite in A major Op. 98a “American" by A. Dvorak
  • Symphonic Suite from The Lord of the Rings by Howard Shore

After this concert, those interested can adjorn to the nearby asian restaurant, Noodle Story, located on Delmar Ave. in the Loop. It is a cozy, modern eatery specializing in handmade dumplings and fresh, flavorful noodles. Looks like fun. Let me know with your RSVP if you plan to head to Noodle Story after the concert.

Covered parking is free in the adjacent garage.
