Let's take advantage of this very special event and opportunity created for us by the Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis. And this one will be exceptional fun and quite interesting for all of us grown-ups as well as family and friends of all ages that we bring along.

Two popular, classical symphonic pieces will open and close this concert. Fun, energetic, easy listening, including an iconic piece from Ravel. His Mother Goose Suite and the Hindemith are mainstays of the classical repertoire and are great anchors for the concert.

What's the Cat Thing About?
The centerpiece of this performance is a hard to believe, too-crazy-to-be-true St. Louis story that is wild fun. That real life story has been retold in a clever children's illustrated book. Then, an original symphonic orchestral piece was commissioned to accompany the story and book. This is serious music to help tell a lighthearted story.

This is the world premiere of that new music, How Mr. Silver Stole the Show, commissioned by the Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis, created by noted composer Stefan Freund. The performance will be accompanied by visuals created by Sarah Klise, the illustrator of the children's book. And, as part of the performance, the story will be narrated by St. Louis's own Sarah Fenske, Editor of St. Louis Magazine, Donnybrooker and media maven extraordinaire.

This is an all star show, enjoyable for everyone. The full music program and ticket information are included below.

Seating & Parking
The concert is at the beautiful 560 Music Center. Although it is general admission seating, the orchestra will be reserving optimal seating for us together. And parking is free in the attached parking garage.

Reception Invitation
The Metropolitan Orchestra is having a celebratory reception after this performance. We are specially invited to join the orchestra, their principals and the guest performers and creators for refreshments, appetizers and desserts. Please plan to make an appearance after the concert, even if only briefly.
