The Pirates of Penzance with Opera Theater of St. Louis

A famous and fun operetta (a comic opera), coupled with a great package offering for our Meetup from the Opera Theater of St. Louis. This swashbuckling tale was made famous on Broadway and in the movies (starring Linda Ronstadt), and on opera stages everywhere. Written and sung in English, the show includes spoken dialog, to advance the story, and songs by Gilbert & Sullivan. (The dialog and lyrics are also projected for audience reference). The beautiful music is performed by the St. Louis Symphony.
OUR SPECIAL OFFER
Once again this year (based on our great experience last season), Opera Theater of St. Louis is offering generously discounted seating for our group to sit together for this performance. In addition, OTSL will be setting aside space for our group to gather and picnic in one of the reserved tents in the beautiful gardens in front of the theater. We are welcomed to picnic there (as most do before the show), and we can bring our own picnic foods, or you can order a lovely picnic meal in advance to be ready for you. Everyone who purchases a ticket through our Symphony Meetup discount will also receive a free cocktail or other beverage. And, prior to the performance, a representative of OTSL will speak with us at our tent to give some insights into things to watch and listen for in the performance.
HOW TO ORDER DISCOUNTED SEATS WITH OUR MEETUP
The following link, which has our discount code embedded, will take you directly to an OTSL gateway page for our Symphony Meetup to select and purchase seats that are set aside for our group for both operas that we are attending this season as a group. To start, there are 20 seats set aside for our group for both operas (Pirates and Piazza) on different dates. The available seats will disappear from the ticketing map as we purchase them. I urge to to act quickly be sure you capture our discounted seating.

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW
There is free parking aound the Loretto Hilton Center at Webster University. And there is free garage parking nearby on campus. I recommend it.

You can also bring your own food & drink to picnic. Take outs from BreadCo., for example, are an especially good option as you can simply dispose of everything after you've eaten.
There is no dress code. And it may be quite warm. Lots of folks dress like they are attending a summer wedding. But we will see everything. Dress as comfortably as you like.
