The full Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra plays the magical music of dance from classical music compositions, a famous opera and two of the most popular American musicals. Though not a dance performance or exhibition, this is An Orchestral Celebration of Dance Music.

This entirely FREE performance includes selections from The King and I (Richard Rodgers); Dance Episodes from Rodeo (Aaron Copland), opera's famous Carmen Suite #2 (Bizet), West Side Story Symphonic Dances (Leonard Bernstein).

This will be a fun and relaxing Saturday evening of easy listening to some wonderful and familiar music performed by an outstanding orchestra. (The Belleville Philharmonic, founded in 1866, is the second oldest continuously operating orchestra in the United States, second only to the New York Philharmonic).

For those interested, we can gather by 5:45pm at nearby Grüv Bistro in Belleville downtown, just 7 minutes from the concert location. It's a fun wine bar and bistro with a nice and reasonable menu.

There's free parking near the restaurant and at the church for the concert. We will reserve some seating to sit together for the music.
