Local Kubernetes For Dummies

This presentation will serve as an intro to setting up and using a local instance of kubernetes, moving beyond docker and docker compose for local development work into more advanced tools like helm.

Andrew is the president of the Central Iowa Linux Users Group (CIALUG).
By day he is a Senior Software Developer working in High Performance
Computing, and cloud computing. In his free time he enjoys tinkering
with Linux as well as playing the Tuba.

The STLLUG meetings are usually on the third Thursday of each month from 6:30PM to 9:00PM.
We may open the remote session at about 6:00 PM.

The Saint Louis MO, STL Linux Users Group (STLLUG) meets monthly to talk about Linux. This GNU/Linux Users Group usually holds its meetings on the third Thursday of every month. Meetings are free and open to everyone.

By 6:45 PM we start with introductions, announcements, current events of interest, and a general CALL FOR HELP segment. Then we will go into the presentation of our main topic, sometime around 7:00 PM.
