Migrating from being an MS-Win desktop to Linux Mint, ...and keeping my games!
Last month, I was able to get my hands on a new Ryzen 5900X processor and decided to rebuild my workstation. I decided that this time around that I would attempt to move my workflow to Linux. This is the story of my migration.
Of course, there was the need to get stuff from work to work...automated scripts sftwr, cmds to replace MS-Win cmds. But also wanted to get games to work!
That focus will be around games in the Steam, Epic Game Store & Good Old Games stores. I will also test the Blizzard Battle.net games.
Bio:
Tyler Rudie is the Senior IT Support Engineer for Siemens Industry Software Accounts Department. Yes my code touched your user account when you got hired.
He currently spends his days abusing Python and Powershell so he can take long naps at work. So far, no luck. Management and Coworkers keep finding him things to do.
Overkill is his middle name, the code bends to his will, and has curated a particular set of skills over the last 5 years. If there is bad data; I will find it, and I will fix it.
