## BASE Topic: Ergonomic Keyboard Design

### Presenter: Eric Trinkle

This introduction to Ergonomic Keyboard Design will first cover traditional keyboards and some of the potential issues that can arise for power users. With those in mind, we will explore general ergonomic countermeasures, and provide resources for getting started with DIY keyboards or selecting pre-built ones to suit your workflow.

The MAIN presentation @7:15 is Last week's Apple announcements on Operating Systems & their new Virtual Reality Goggles.

Apple announced updates to all of their BSD UNIX operating systems — macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, & tvOS — and also unveiled a new device with a new operating system: the Vision Pro, an augmented reality-based headset with a focus on what Apple calls “spatial computing”. The Vision Pro is expensive, but that price will come down in coming years; meanwhile there is plenty to look at and think about when it comes to this new category of computing. In this talk, Scott Granneman will cover the announcements that Apple made and talk about what they mean for computing in general as well as the open source world.
