In a time when hatred and intolerance seem increasingly pervasive in many of our lives, how can we move through the world while abiding by the ideals of inclusion and understanding?

If we tolerate anything, it leaves an opening for intolerant behavior to undermine the ideal; if we don’t, we risk undermining it ourselves. Should we tolerate those who are intolerant of others? If so, what does that look like? How can we prevent harm while preserving the openness we hope to protect?
