Free Meditation and Community Support Open House on the Day of Truth and Freedom
Details
The importance of recognizing and living in accord with truth and freedom are fundamental principles shared by both Zen Buddhism and healthy democracies. On this Friday's Day of Truth and Freedom, Clouds in Water encourages Minnesotans to engage as they are able in non-violent action in solidarity with our neighbors and communities, and against the dehumanizing aggression of the federal agents on our streets.
To support our Twin Cities community at this time, Clouds is opening its doors on Friday, January 23rd, from 8am-12pm, for an informal morning of meditation and togetherness, free of charge. Our zendo will be open for those seeking a quiet space to meditate with others, and we will offer coffee/tea and light snacks, as well as basic meditation instruction and teaching, as needed, in our lobby and classroom. Come at any time, for as little or long as you like, and be refilled and resourced for the difficult days ahead.
Even if you can't come visit us, Friday Night Zen and Clouds in Water Zen Center encourage you to engage with this day of non-violent action in any way you are able. Please click the links to find a website with more information, and a printable one-pager.
