What we’re about
Toastmasters is an international volunteer organization devoted to training in public speaking and leadership. Every member of Toastmasters is a member of a club.
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
Company clubs are usually restricted to employees of the sponsoring companies, but community clubs are open to anyone 18 years or older. Some clubs meet in-person, according to group meeting guidelines at the time. Other clubs are coping with the threats of disease by meeting online only. Finally, some clubs hold meetings in which members are participating both in-person and online.
Attending a meeting as a guest is free and there’s no pressure to participate until you are ready and comfortable. And since every club is unique, we recommend visiting several clubs to make sure you find the club that’s right for you!
