Voodoo Brewing will be our weekly "home" for the foreseeable future.

And note that our weekly meeting will be THURSDAYs going forward (as it was for the first several years).

Those who attended last week or the week prior have given positive feedback regarding the food and beverage selections at Voodoo, the service, the easy parking -- and even last week when there was live music downstairs, seating our group upstairs allowed folks to converse without straining (rare when there is music happening!). This week, and most weeks, we will be seated downstairs.

Other venues that were visited or suggested had pros and cons, but each had at least one "con" that mostly ruled it out. Among the issues at the various other places: difficult parking, limited food or beverage selection (we have a wide swath of preferences in our group), insufficient or uncomfortable seating, one venue with massive garbage waste due to only using disposable dishes/utensils, etc.

No venue is perfect, but Voodoo ticks most of the boxes, is centrally located considering that our membership comes from all around the St Pete area, and the owner and the manager and staff have been quite welcoming.

Also, they are reportedly going to expand outdoor seating, which would allow for dog-owners to bring their pets; I do not have a timeline for that. Voodoo Brewing is not allowed to permit pets INside, except for official Service Animals.

Voodoo Brewing has beer, wine, a full bar, sodas, etc, and a food menu with many options. Parking is easy with a large lot behind them with free parking after 6pm (it is a private lot until 6pm), and there is on-street parking.

Please note that several "regulars" show up most weeks, and therefore do not RSVP. Don't worry if you are new and only see a few RSVPs if you look at Meetup :) Anyone is welcome (as long as they are civil), and we talk about pretty much ANYthing -- some of which is political and plenty that is just life in general :)
