Weather should again be quite pleasant :)

So...

• Congress is getting involved investigating the sinkings of boats and killing of the occupants that were potentially a violation of US and international law
• The prosecuting attorney who'd filed against James Comey and against Letitia James was ruled to be ineligible, and the cases were dismissed; the DOJ has until Christmas week to appeal / try to file charges again (apparently, although the 5-year statute of limitations in the Comey case seems to have run out, there is a possibility that charges could still be brought as late as spring 2026)
• Trump and team have now stated that the MRI Trump had during his exam was of the heart and abdomen, and reportedly no abnormalities or cause for concern were detected
• So far, at least 5 US House reps from Texas have announced that they will not run for re-election. Rumors are flying that many in the GOP fully expect to lose their majorities in Congress in the midterms
• Amidst ongoing Israeli settler attacks in the West Bank, and the continuing strife in Gaza, Pope Leo has stated that the only way forward is with a Palestinian state. To date, that has been a non-starter for Netanyahu, and he has stated that there will be no Palestinian state while he is in office
• Meanwhile ...Here in Florida we have survived the 2025 storm season with zero hurricanes threatening us with landfall. Hopefully that does not lull residents (especially newcomers) into a dangerous false sense of security!
