Weather is expected to be warm, but with a nice breeze. The balcony is covered. Sometimes if a larger group has reserved the balcony, we will be seated INside regardless of weather. Just ask a server where Drinking Liberally is if you don't spot us :)

IMPORTANT: Every voter now has to request a vote by mail ballot to get one this election, and the deadline to request a mail ballot is 5 p.m. on August 6. The FIFA World Cup is done; Spain won :) ...I was rooting for México or Norway, but alas...Still, I am happy that Spain won, happy that the crowd expressed their feelings re Trump, and happy that FIFA head Infantino ushered Trump away from the players so that they could hoist their trophy and celebrate THEIR win without the Narcissist In Chief breaking in.
Far more seriously, it is extremely evident that Trump had no clue what he was getting us into when he invaded Iran for reasons that have never been clearly stated. Unfortunately, his fragile ego will not allow him to come to an agreement with Iran unless he can make it look like he forced them to bend the knee, and that will never happen. Congress voted in June (symbolic vote, really) the try to curb Trump's activity in Iran. The Senate Democrats have now blocked the advancement of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to protest Trump's careless and deadly folly in Iran. There's plenty more to the crisis -- including global impact to energy and food availability and prices (none of it good). I'll leave it to our clever and well-informed members to discuss... And that's not even getting into the Russia/Ukraine war, the crises in Gaza and the West Bank, growing involvement of Houthis and Hezbollah, ebola in Congo, cyclosproriasis in the US, wildfires in Canada and western US, and, and, and ... OY!

Meanwhile, There ARE still millions of Trump-Epstein files to be released. Let us not be "lulled" into forgetfulness of the Trump-Epstein files by the various other issues that rightfully compete for our attention.

Please note that several "regulars" show up most weeks, and therefore do not RSVP. Don't worry if you are new and only see a few RSVPs if you look at Meetup :) Anyone is welcome (as long as they are civil), and we talk about pretty much ANYthing -- some of which is political and plenty that is just life in general :)
