Second Writer's Meet up

Second meeting: This is the second meet up for the St. Petersburg Writer's Group.

Intro: After attending the Shut Up and Write Group's meeting and meeting some great people, and talking to the one person who attended the first meetup, I've made a couple of changes. While Shut Up and Write is about getting some quality time to do some writing, I want to make this a little more interactive and include some on location writing.

Changes: Changing the location to Steep Station (2235 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg). It's a nice location and I was told that Wednesday's is a goo (d night for this. (The Shut Up and Write meets there on the second Wednesday, so I'm just going to offer to meet on the first Wednesday.

What to expect:
Introductions: (15 minutes) -- Brief introductions, and what you're interested in, etc.

Prompt: (1 hour total) I've been looking at writer workshop prompts -- these are basically fun prompts that allow you to explore an idea and then get your fingers moving (or pencil's scratching). If you guys think it would be better, I can send out the prompt one week before the meet up. LMK.

I will reveal the prompt at the meeting, and then we will have 30 minutes to write. The idea is to have fun with it and write it however you'd like. Then after 30 minutes, we meet back and share some of the things we've written. Others can provide feedback in a positive way.

Discussion: (15 minutes): Talk about the process and what we can improve for the next meet up.

Social: (15 minutes). Hang out, talk, or go home.
