New course: Discovering the causes of happiness
Details
"What Buddha discovered about the nature of mind and the world brought him freedom, understanding and complete contentment."
Lama Jampa Thaye
Starting 4 October, we'll be hearing about, reflecting upon and discussing the steps that take us along the way to the same peace and happiness experienced by the Buddha.
Session format
Each week we start with some meditation to settle the mind (instructions given) followed by some content and reflection. There is also time for conversation and coffee from 11.30am.
Course instructors
There are four instructors for this course: Adrian, Ed, Emma and Rachel and you can read more about us here.
Course text and attendance
Copies of the course text are available at the Centre but there's no need to have one (unless you wish to!), just come along. Whilst this is a course, you're welcome to attend to any sessions you can make. You may find a notebook handy to remember key points.
Donations
There is no charge for these sessions but we welcome donations, which help us to maintain the Sakya Buddhist Centre and its activities. You can donate here or at the Centre.
If you'd like to take a look at some helpful content, you'll find lots of resources here.
We look forward to seeing you - comment or message me with any queries - thanks!
