Evening walk, Goostrey 4 miles

Hi All

My walk on Wednesday evening is a pleasant easy and mostly flat stroll of approx 4 miles starting from the pretty village of Goostrey and following field paths and tracks towards Holmes Chapel and the Dane Valley.

There's a short 3-4 minutes stretch of road walking but the road is usually quiet, also there's 4 stiles to negotiate, and a field with cattle in so no dogs, please.

I'll be at Brooklands to arrange lifts at 6.45 to leave at 6.55pm. To get to the start follow these brief directions.

A56 Altrincham

A556 towards Northwich

A5034 to Knutsford.

To get to the start from the Sale area please follow these brief directions.
A56 Altrincham
A556 towards Northwich
A5034 to Knutsford.
From Knutsford take the A50 Stoke-on-Trent & Holmes Chapel.
Continue along the A50 for 5.7 miles through Toft and Allostock, then turn left onto New Platt Lane.
Continue along this road for two miles into Goostrey and turn left into the Crown pub's large car park (postcode CW4 8PE) from where the walk will start.

The drive will take about 30 minutes so I propose to start the walk at 7.40pm and the walk should be over before 9.30pm with drinks in the pub afterwards.

Loos available in the pub at the start, if required.
