Sunday 27 July 11 Mile Walk Slaidburn

PLEASE NOTE THAT VERY FEW MEMBERS OF SWAG DO MEETUP HENCE THERE WILL BE FEW ATTENDEES LISTED HERE

Dear SWAG , the longer walk next Sunday starts from the attractive village of Slaidburn in the Forest of Bowland.
We will be following the Ribble Valley Jubilee Trail initially & continue on a path which takes us a good part of the way around Stocks Reservoir . We then walk further west which includes some gradual climbs around the Croasdale Valley.

Distance 11.5m, total ascent approx 1150 ft. Grade C
Mainly good paths around the reservoir , field paths & a few rougher paths with longer grass ( about 2/3rds of the way around the walk which includes a short steeper path).
Parking is in the village car park that has toilets ( pay & display - cash / card, I checked on line ,£2.60 for the day ) BB7 3ES

Meet at Brooklands to car share 8.45pm, 49 miles .We expect it will take about 1 ¼ hours , so we will be aiming to set off about 10.10am so if you are driving independently , please let us know & aim to arrive for about 10.05am , (we will also be going independently).
