Wednesday Evening 4 Mile Walk Sale 20 Aug

PLEASE NOTE, FEW MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP ARE ON MEETUP HOWEVER ALL WALKS ARE WELL ATTENDED

This week's Wednesday evening walk will start at 7.00pm from Sale Golf Club. The walk will take us into Wythenshawe Sports Ground, into Kenworthy Woods, along the Mersey, into Chorlton Lees before returning to the golf club where we can get a drink in the bar. Please bring a change of shoes for the clubhouse. The walk is grade F, just over 4 miles and it's mainly flat.

There are no real hazards but some of the paths are on gravel so wear appropriate footwear as it can be slippy. I'm ok with well behaved dogs on a short lead but they won't be allowed inside the clubhouse.

If anyone needs a lift from Brooklands Station, I can be there at 6.45pm but message me first as I only have room for 4 people and if no-one messages me I won't be there.

Directions to Sale Golf Club. M33 2XU.
From the Sale Water Park, M60, J6, roundabout. Drive under the M60 in the direction of Sale Moor on Old Hall Road and pass through the traffic lights. Turn left at Morrisons Daily corner shop into Wythenshawe Road. At the right hand bend turn left into New Hall Road. Go straight across the mini roundabout onto Fairy Lane, go over the motorway and take the 1st exit off the mini roundabout on to Golf Road. At the bottom of the road turn left into the club car park. The barrier will open automatically when you approach it.
Once you are through the barrier, turn right and park there. I will be there from 6.50pm.

If the weather stays warm, bring some water do drink.
