Meet at Brooklands at 09.30 for a 09.40 departure.
It is approx 20mls and a journey time of approx 35mins to Manor Park Glossop. See end of message for directions.
The walk will commence at 10.30 from Manor Park car park, Corn Street SK13 7RP. What3words: What 3 words, generals. Intruders, porridge.
This walk is grade D/E and approx 6mlies miles long and approx 1000ft of ascent.
We will walk through wooded countryside and rural footpaths, crossing some minor residential roads, in addition to crossing some busier roads, which will need more care and attention. stout boots or walking shoes and pole(s) are strongly recommended for the ground is very wet and slippy in many places. There are a couple of awkward stiles.
We will of course stop for a coffee and lunch breaks, before retiring to the Queens Arms at the end of the walk for those in need of liquid refreshment.
Directions
Leave Brooklands and head for J6 of the M60 heading towards Stockport. Leave the M60 at J24, leave roundabout at 3rd exit, signpost M67 for Glossop/Sheffield.
At the end of the M67, follow signs for A57, you will pass through Mottram, at the second set of traffic lights, turn right for Glossop, at the next roundabout(Wooley Bridge), take the 2nd towards Glossop.
Travel through Glossop Town centre traffic lights, and after about half a mile, you will come to a mini roundabout, turn left into Corn Street and car park.
