The walk is mainly gentle undulations and flat, however there is a long gentle uphill near the start, and a shorter steep section uphill, and a fairly steep downhill section - hence the grading.
It is a really attractive walk, mainly on good tracks, with hopefully great views and over a variety of terrain. There are occasional muddy sections so poles are recommended.
There are approximately 4 stiles.
Dogs are permitted- but please keep on lead where there are narrow tracks, and of course if there are animals in fields.
Directions and parking
Take M60 towards Stockport to J24 towards Hyde/ Sheffield
Take 3rd exit on to M67
Continue to Hattersley roundabout at the end of tbe motorway, and continue straight on to the A57.
After approximately 1.5 miles at traffic lights ( and crossroad), take the IMMEDIATE left straight after the lights and before the Gun inn pub , down a small lane called Wedneshough Green.
This is a one way road and the best place to park along one side. We will meet just around the first left bend where there may be some additional parking places.
Journey approximately 20 miles ( 30 mins)
Walk will start 10.45
