GRAPPENHALL Short Walk, approx. 6.75 miles Grade E/F ( 329 feet of overall ascent)
The walk starts by Grappenhall Heys Walled Garde. It is a mainly flat walk with a mixture of good tracks followed by paths through woodland, and a few upward steps towards the end. We will finish back at the Walled Gardens. There is a short stretch of road walking where we will need to walk in single file. The latter half of the walk is very pretty, passing through woodland with lots of bluebells. There will be the usual coffee and lunch stops.
Meet at Brooklands 9.50am for car sharing, ready to leave at 10am.
Starting time for the walk 10.50am.

Take your preferred route to join the M56 in the direction of Chester.
Leave M56 at Junction 9, and KEEP LEFT following A50 Lymm/Warrington(south)
At roundabout take the 1st exit A50 Warrington (Cliff Ln)
Close after is another roundabout – take the 1st exit onto B5356 (Grappenhall Ln)
Take a right turn continuing along B556 GrappenHall Ln, (signpost Stretton and Appleton Thorn
Take a right turn into New Lane
At a T junction turn right into Lumb Brook Rd
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Witherwin Ave
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Keeper's Rd
Turn right onto Stansfield Dr. The free car park is at the far end on the left as the road bends to the right. (You will pass several roadside parking spaces on the way down).
