Celebrate Earth Day with 350 Salem

Earth Day is a great day to take the bus to the heart of downtown Salem! From the Salem Downtown Transit Center our walk follows level paved paths of approximately 1.75 miles. We walk through downtown Salem to Riverfront Park. Once there we will stroll along the Willamette River to the Peter Courtney bridge, head a short distance into Minto-Brown Island Park, and then retrace our steps back to the Transit Center. There are always plenty of birds to see, including a pair of nesting bald eagles. We set a leisurely pace, giving our walkers plenty of time to enjoy the natural beauty of our city.
