Welcome to the May 21st 1800 HRS PST/2100 HRS EST, 2025 HYBRID meeting!
We are once again meeting in person in Vancouver, WA at the downtown Umpqua Bank in their Community Room!
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month once again at 6:00 PM PST. We will have snacks and networking before the main meeting.
But… we will continue to operate monthly online meetings through the PNW collaborative facilitated by the Oregon Data Community. Due to this, you will be able to attend the meeting remotely and we are definitely open to remote speakers.

Title: Handling User Error in Power BI Reports
Abstract:
In this session, you’ll learn practical techniques for detecting and managing errors directly within your Power BI reports. We’ll begin by exploring strategies for handling user-triggered errors—such as selections using DAX functions, visual cues, and conditional formatting. Then, we’ll demonstrate how those same techniques can be (mis)applied to data-driven errors like missing or incomplete values and discuss why treating these scenarios identically can introduce hidden risks. Through example, you’ll see both the benefits and drawbacks of each approach. Attendees will receive the accompanying Power BI file so they can apply these patterns in their own environments.
