Salem Linux Meetup Group

Hi! I came looking for a Linux Meetup group in Salem, OR and didn't find one, so I decided to create one. This is it! The idea is that it will be available to anyone, regardless of expertise, so long as there is interest in Linux and Open Source software. In fact, I want this to be a newbie friendly place. We were all newbies once! Also, this is to be a distribution neutral place -- I run gentoo, he runs red hat, she runs Ubuntu -- it's all good. While this does impact how things are done, we can get along.

And for those who have some expertise, I hope you come here too. You can share your expertise with us and each other. Hopefully, we can have a diverse enough population that everyone will find something that benefits them.
